A number of years ago, Charles Swindoll wrote a book entitled,
Improving Your Serve -The Art of Unselfish Living. This book is
all about being a true servant of Jesus Christ.
Philippians 2:5-7 says that we should have the same attitude as
that of Christ Jesus…who… “made himself nothing, taking the
very nature of a servant.”
What is our attitude toward serving? Is it simply an
inconvenience or do we recognize that Jesus said, “whatever you
did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for
me?”
Let our prayer be:
Make me a servant, humble and meek,
Lord let me lift up those who are weak,
And may the prayer of my heart always be:
Make me a servant, make me a servant today!
